Welcome!

 

We are a traditional pilot gig rowing club based in Ilfracombe Harbour.

 

Formed in 2007, we are a very active club with nearly 100 members and  four boats. Lantern and Capstone are our fibre glass training boats and we have two wooden boats, replicas of the pilot boats and lifeboats used on our coast 200 years ago, Rapparee and Rogue.

  

 

We can regularly be seen training from Ilfracombe Harbour or setting off on recreational rows along our beautiful coastline. We have three competitive squads - men's, women's and juniors' - and travel throughout the South West competing against other gig clubs. We also have a very active recreational squad.

LATEST RESULTS

Thirteen members of IPGC competed in the National County Championships in October helping Devon towards a solid series of results including the first ever win over Cornwall which was achieved in the Men's Open.
